Drone Pants: Image Process


Here's a piece that I have been thinking about concerning the increased use of drone airstrikes by the Obama administration. The concept came rather quickly after I read an article in Wired magazine about drones and artificial intelligence. I made a quick sketch mock up from a tiny thumbnail I created in my sketchbook. I do sketch regularly. After that, I created the image shapes in Adobe Illustrator. I had an idea of the feeling of the piece. I wanted it to be powerful and dark. After I working on the image in illustrator, I added the textural qualities from scanned texture files in Adobe Photoshop. From sketch to finish, I'd say it took about 3 hours.
