Bernadette Dashiell, art director for the style section of the New York Times, called me up on a Wednesday for an illustration in their DISRUPTIONS Column about Technology. Sketches were submitted on Friday and the final was due on Monday. She picked two sketches to send to the editor. The editor picked a sketch that I did not expect. The piece was online on Wednesday.
